There's going to be some incredible goals scored in this game when it's released. Just striking that ball and willing it to hit the top corner after watching it start out wide of the post, then suddenly take a wicked curve at the last second and bend into the top corner past a stretching keeper is breathtaking to say the least. Already the shooting and ball mechanics are above and beyond anything seen in PES, and probably will be seen. I can promise you that if you just chill and adapt to the play with the way I've mentioned, you'll start to realize just what a complete gem this game is shaping up to be. When playing this demo, start at the very easiest difficulty, then work your way up.
You'll always be stretching as the ball is under less control. Obviously some people are trying to pass when holding the run button down constantly like the do in PES, but if you try that in real life, your pass will never be as accurate or responsive. In fact, the passing is amazingly responsive when using close control. Now I don't feel as threatened on the ball when crowded simply because I feel in total control of the player, and can use the left trigger with the right stick and roll the ball around or trick my way into a little bit of space, and if a defender is pressing on me, the passing is so instant, it's never a worry. I've had the ball a dozen times in a crowded midfield with skillful players like Ronaldinho and Kaka, and the better I got with practice, the more I felt at ease on the ball in these situations and did the right thing. You simply can't walk or run round them like in PES, which may be people's frustrations in this game.Īs for people talking smack on response times and sluggishness in this game, well, I'm sorry to put it this bluntly, but they are talking shit. The pace is much slower, but you also get more time and space on the ball, it's only when you try to get past the defenses in Fifa 09 when it becomes difficult, as it should. I can understand if people prefer PES, as they just fancy a pick up and play experience that takes little skill to master, but with this game, you have to understand the game more, and think more along the lines of real football. PES is so arcadey quick and you can't always run past people, yeah you can sometimes, but football is a passing game and isn't PES quick, FIFA 09 has hit the pace spot on tbh and if you feel it's too slow, but the game speed to fast for christ's sakes! IF you find it too fast put it on slow! Seriously FIFA 09 creates an awsome football experience and feels and looks so believable/natural too.100% correct. I swear some people don't know how football is played out. The players both look as good as a smurf, and move as hyperarcadefast as a smurf ^_^ The actual demo is really drab, and looks worse than PES 2008. In reply to The demo doesn't look anywhere near as good as those pictures.
Why take a chance and pay full-price for a game that might suck, when you can find out for sure by just trying a FREE demo? :)
If you hated the demo, you WILL hate the full game.
(obviously no talking about content, but rather the gameplay etc) The differences are almost always very very small. Se777eN yes it is just a demo, but if you've been playing games for 11 years or more, you'd know like i do, that what you see in a demo is always what you get in the full game. Then again, it might always look wierd until they get sub-surface scattering to work in realtime. I'm absolutely convinced that it is possible to create lifelike humans in a game with todays shaders, its just a matter of finding that magical perfect shader, that they still havent found. I mean yeah you can recognize Rooney etc by their faces now in this generation, but they still look wierd, unhuman, made-of-wax? Its still pretty wierd, that no matter how far graphics advance (so far), they STILL dont look human. The actual demo is really drab, and looks worse than PES 2008.lol PES, the smurfs of the soccer games. The demo doesn't look anywhere near as good as those pictures.
